Fredrick A. Schulman, Esq., was born in the Bronx, New York on April 13, 1973. A product of the New York City public school system, including the Bronx High School of Science, Mr. Schulman graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton, cum laude in 1995 where he received his Bachelors of Arts degree in political science. Mr. Schulman received his Juris Doctor in 1998 from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the international legal fraternity. While at Brooklyn Law School, Mr. Schulman served as a volunteer student mediator in Small Claims Court, Kings County.
From the outset, Mr. Schulman's career has centered around the representation of people who have been injured due to the negligence of others. Mr. Schulman began his legal career at Shandell, Blitz, Blitz & Bookson, LLP, one of the country's leading plaintiff's personal injury and medical malpractice law firms. In 1996, while still in law school, Mr. Schulman began working as a law clerk for Shandell, Blitz, Blitz & Bookson, LLP. Immediately upon his graduation, Mr. Schulman was offered an associate position at Shandell, Blitz, Blitz & Bookson, LLP, and proceeded to actively represent injured people at both the trial and the appellate level in all New York State and Federal Courts.
After becoming Shandell, Blitz, Blitz & Bookson, LLP's first new associate in many years, Mr. Schulman was quickly promoted to managing attorney in February 2000. As managing attorney, Mr. Schulman introduced state-of-the-art technology to the firm, which aided in the successful transition of the firm into the new millennium. His organizational abilities and supervisory skills greatly improved the firm's ability to effectively represent catastrophically injured people.
Mr. Schulman remained the managing attorney at Shandell, Blitz, Blitz & Bookson, LLP until August 2004, when he was actively recruited to become the managing attorney of the Law Offices of Michael S. Lamonsoff, one of the city's largest plaintiff's personal injury firms. Mr. Schulman effectively streamlined the management of thousands of personal injury cases so as to ensure that each case moved forward efficiently, thereby allowing the firm to maximize the value of each and every case.
Mr. Schulman is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of New York, as well as in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. In addition, Mr. Schulman is the updating author of the highly regarded book, The Preparation and Trial of Medical Malpractice Cases.
